HealthCare Volunteer and Idealist.org

January 27, 2016 by Amy Stevenson Wilson in MPH Resources

Do you ever feel frustrated that there are so many needs and so many hands to help, yet somehow the work just doesn’t get done?

HealthCare Volunteer was created for the very purpose of connecting willing hands with individuals in need. Check out their website for opportunities to use your public health skills locally or abroad.

Another fabulous volunteer resource (already mentioned here if you are looking for a job) is idealist.org. The search engine for this organization allows you to specify minute details about your availability as well as your area of focus. It even allows you to search for remote opportunities if you are unable to travel but would like some international service experience. Idealist.org will certainly help you find the opportunity to serve that you are looking for.

Check out Resources for MPHGrads to find other useful gems to help you make a difference in the world.
